Justice & Equity
- We insist upon the highest standards of justice and equity with regard to all policy decisions of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and its political subdivisions.
- We condemn any program or policy that, whether by design or neglect, permits critical resources to be auctioned off to the highest bidder, or hands the allocation of scarce resources to the so-called “free market,” thus ensuring a privileged existence for the wealthy and deprivation for less wealthy citizens.
- We call for clear and forceful steps to be taken to eliminate disparities in health care, education, public safety, housing, and other vital measures of social welfare.
- We call for the passage of the Act to Reform CORI, Restore Economic Opportunity, and Improve Public Safety (sponsored by Reps. Malia and Chandler) to reform the Criminal Offender Records Information (CORI) system which currently is unjust and serves as a discriminatory economic barrier.
- We call for children and future generations to receive full consideration in the formulation of public policy.
